Welcome!

The Peace River Center for Writers was established in Punta Gorda, Florida in April 2002. It is an organization dedicated to writers and the written word. Through an array of educational and informational programs, services and events, the Center aims at providing support for those who wish to pursue the craft of writing in any form.

As a community-based non-profit organization, the Center fosters a close relationship with the people of Southwest Florida--but our goal is to reach out to writers everywhere. Whether you are a published poet or a complete novice, a journalist or a marketing rep, a novelist or a paralegal--we think you'll find a congenial home right here.

Keep reading...and keep writing.
