A lifetime resident of Southwest Florida,
Michael Haymans received his J.D. degree from the University of Florida, and currently practices law in Punta Gorda. He is a well-known poet, guitarist, and performer, who writes in order to celebrate life and study the self; his songs are an extension of his poetry.

Joyce Schenk, Secretary

Freelance writer Joyce Schenk, author of I’ve Become My Mother…and Other Observations, has written for newspapers and magazines in New York, Pennsylvania and Florida for more than 30 years. For over two decades, she has taught writing and journaling workshops at a wide variety of locations including New York’s world-famous Chautauqua Institution, the State University of New York at Fredonia and the Peace River Center for Writers in Punta Gorda.
