Peace River Center for Writers

Tutorials

A tutorial provides individual instruction in a particular area. It is an opportunity for a writer to work one-on-one with a writing instructor.

Tutorials can be individualized versions of seminars and workshops offered by the Center either at the present time or in the past; they can also be designed especially for a writer's needs. For example, one writer may want to understand and experiment with the basic points of view in writing prose, while another writer may want to learn traditional prosody. Since each person has different goals in mind, they would both be better served by customized programs.

Instruction can be face-to-face and/or online. Tutorials create flexibility in scheduling and curriculum, and make the most efficient use of a writer's time and energy.
